Michele Meinhart, FNP
Meet our CEO, Michele! She is a highly skilled nurse practitioner and master esthetician with over 22 years of experience in nursing. Michele graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in psychology. After taking time off to raise her family, she returned to higher her education to undertake a master's degree in nursing and graduated from Rutger's University in 1997. Michele opened her first practice Starkey Medical in 2003 later adding on Esthetics and Dermatology in 2005 to her Family Practice office. Michele's sub--specialty is dermatology and she is so passionate about helping her patient's with all their skin problems, both medical and cosmetic. When Michele is not in one of her offices working, she loves raising her chickens, being on the lake, traveling, and spending time with her husband and children. She is so excited to bring something new to the town of Bedford to fit every families' needs.
Brian D. Buchanan, MD
Dr. Buchanan attended St. Louis Medical School and completed his internship and residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. At the conclusion of his training at Tulane in 1980, he and his wife came to Bedford. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and have practiced in the Bedford community since his arrival. His practice went solo in 2004, and this past January he decided to sell it to Michele Meinhart, FNP. He wants his patients to know he is presently working for her and providing the same patient care he always has, but is working more part time. Dr. Buchanan and his wife Phyllis, have five children who were all born here in the town of Bedford and two grandchildren. He states "It has been a blessing to have the privilege of caring for the folks in this community for the past 41 years".
Jesseka Bettenhausen, FNP
Jesseka has enjoyed practicing as a Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years, with experience in Family and Internal Medicine. She completed her Master's degree at Old Dominion University and currently a doctoral candidate through Radford University. She is married, has three children, and enjoy's gardening, reading, and traveling with her family. She states "I am privileged to be a part of Medical Associates of Bedford and am honored to participate in the health care of our patients".
Dr. Eunyoung Lee, FNP, PHD
Eunyoung (Euna) has enjoyed practicing as a Nurse Practitioner for over 14 years with experience in acute, primary, and internal medicine, along with cardiology and long term care. She completed her PHD at the University of California in 2008, majoring in nursing, minoring in Genetics and pain management. She is currently an Associate Professor in nursing at Radford University. She has worked with this practice for the past 8 years, serving for the Bedford community. She is married and has one daughter, she enjoys gardening and walking in her free time.
Joyce Stanley, MA
Joyce has been a medical assistant for 30 years and has been blessed to be with this practice the last 18 years. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and all her animals on the farm. She loves helping other people, along with animal rescues. She states "I am looking forward to my future and growing even more with this practice".
Roxanne Harris, RMA
Roxanne has been in the medical profession for over 20 years and has been with this practice for 16 years. She enjoys spending time with family and quilting. She states "It is an honor to serve the Bedford community, it's like spending the day with family everyday".
Bonnie Francis, CNA - Front Desk
Bonnie has been a CNA for over 25 years and it's her true passion. She has been with this practice for 15 years. Bonnie never has a lot of free time as she is known to be the "jack of all trades" around town. She loves to help out the community. She states "This practice has already brought me so many opportunities and I love our team".
Heather Saunders, MA - Office Manager
Heather has been in the medical profession for 13 years and it is her true passion. Her patient's mean the world to her. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, & finding new adventures. She states "I am so excited to be part of this practice, we're not just a doctors office, were family. Being from a small town, I can't wait to see all the opportunities this practice will bring to this one".
